Sample work

Sample deliverables and illustrative scenarios.

We cannot show you client results, so we show you what we make instead. Everything below is labelled so you can tell what it is.

Samples use a dummy domain. Scenarios are illustrative, not client results.

An audit excerpt.

Every finding in our audits has the same four parts: what we found, the evidence, the fix and the effort.

What this shows

  • Findings are ranked, so you know what to do first.
  • Evidence is attached, so developers can check it.
  • Some warnings are marked "not worth fixing", and we say why.

MONTHLY REPORT · EXAMPLE-STORE.COM A THE HEADLINE Category pages gained clicks this month. B THE REASON The new templates went live, so search engines now see a clear title and heading on each one. C THE NEXT STEP We optimize the next five categories. We need approval on two product images. SEARCH CLICKS, SHAPE ONLY

A monthly report.

Our reports open with the change, not the charts. You see what moved, what we think caused it and what we will do next.

What this shows

  • One page of headline and next steps comes first.
  • Detail follows for anyone who wants it.
  • Plain English throughout, with no jargon left undefined.

A content brief.

Before we write a word, you see the brief. It names the search, the reader's intent, the outline and the internal links.

What this shows

  • You approve the angle before writing starts.
  • Each piece has one job.
  • Internal links are planned, not added at the end.

Illustrative scenarios

Illustrative example, not a client result

A Maryland local service business

A plumbing company in Anne Arundel County

Situation

A family-run plumbing company with one office. Its phone rings mostly from repeat customers. Searches such as "emergency plumber near me" show three competitors in the map and not them. Their Business Profile has not been updated in a long time, and listings show an old phone number.

What we would do

  • Correct the name, address and phone number everywhere it appears.
  • Rebuild the Business Profile with accurate services, categories and photos.
  • Add a simple process to ask recent customers for reviews, and reply to the ones that come in.
  • Write local pages for the main towns served.
  • Track map pack position for ten to fifteen key searches.

KPIs we would track

  • Map pack position for key searches
  • Calls from the profile
  • Direction requests
  • Review count and rating
  • Impressions for local queries

Illustrative example, not a client result

A small online store

A home goods store with a growing catalogue

Situation

An online store with a few thousand products. Filters create thousands of near-duplicate URLs, and category pages are thin. Some of the products that sell best are hard to find in search.

What we would do

  • Map every URL pattern and group them into templates.
  • Decide which filter combinations deserve their own indexed page, and block the rest.
  • Specify new category and product templates with titles, headings and schema.
  • Improve the top category pages first.
  • Monitor how often search engines crawl the important pages.

KPIs we would track

  • Indexed category pages
  • Crawl share spent on useful pages
  • Impressions and clicks for category searches
  • Organic revenue from categories
  • Product schema errors

Illustrative example, not a client result

A B2B service firm

An accounting firm that serves other businesses

Situation

A firm of about twenty people with a service-heavy website and no blog. Prospects ask the same questions in sales calls, but the site does not answer them. Nobody has time to write.

What we would do

  • Collect the questions prospects ask and match them to real searches.
  • Write a brief for each piece for the firm to approve.
  • Write and optimize six pieces a month, covering questions in order of buying intent.
  • Link each piece to the matching service page.
  • Report monthly on what was published and what search it targets.

KPIs we would track

  • Impressions and clicks for target topics
  • Pages published against plan
  • Organic enquiries
  • Rankings for priority searches
  • Service page visits from articles
